Owl card - Marilyn

Firstly I layered a piece of green card which I had distressed the edges and inked with Versa Magic Jumbo Java.
The front sheet was embossed using Sizzix wood grain folder (a real favourite of mine).
I inked the card with a variety of brown and green Distress Inks before cutting out the hole to make a home for the owl.  The edges of the card were then all  distressed and inked before being pop dotted into place.

I inked the felt owl mostly in the chest area to give some definition, then added glitter ribbon to the underside.  I attached the owl to a second black owl with thick perma stick tape in the centre to give the owl a 3-D effect. I added the beak and beautiful bling eyes and he came to life.

I placed the branch into position and then secured the owl into place. The branch was then finished with inked leaves and green flower soft to add texture to the fine branches.

The metal dragon fly was painted using Pintura paints and attached.

The little lizard was inked, glitter ribbon attached to the underside, sparkle eyes added then it’s little legs and feet bent so that it looks as though it is scurrying to get away from those sharp eyes.

I had a lot of fun making this card. Hope it inspires you to have a go.
