View this email in your browser Like what you see?... check out the website - www.imagineif.co.nz Happy Sunday to you all, I hope you have all had a great couple of weeks, and have managed a little bit of crafting on these hot days.  At least the nights have cooled slightly at the moment, it does mean a bit better sleep, and if there is one thing my husband knows a sleep deprived wife is not a good thing. The shop has been a hive of activity, with kit after kit being completed.  We are releasing a few each week, and I can tell you that I am super proud of what we are putting out at the moment. One of the things that we are striving to do, is to make sure NZ has great access to awesome products.  With that in mind, I will tell you that we actually dont have even half of our stock on line.   We do not have time to load it all up, we try and keep our mixed media products right and chipboard and MDF, but that is about it.  If you check the website you will see there is no paper loaded,  we actually stock a lot of paper.  If there is something you are after please dont hesitiate to email me, or phone the shop. If you want anything that you are seeing coming out overseas or on line, contact me, we may have it coming or we can get it for you.  Nothing is to much trouble, and if we dont have it, maybe one of my friends stock it in their shop.  We are working closely with Paperzone in Hamilton, Create and Scrapaholics in Auckland, Artfull Crafts in Timaru and Craftables in Tauranga.  So if I don't have it, or cannot get it, maybe I can help you find someone that does. You will see this fortnights new kit releases to the right, they are some of the projects we did at C4 and our Christmas party, and were so popular we have released them as kits. We have the first of our new classes listed below as well, and we have a lot more, we are just waiting on stock being cleared from over seas, before advertising them.   WEEKLY CLASSES: Wednesday Scrapbooking Class 10am - 12pm We have a couple of spaces available, $20 per week, everything supplied, this week it is all about space travel, which has been a lot of fun designing for boys photos. Welcome to 2017!

Like what you see... make sure you check out our awesome website Hello everyone, Hello 2017 and Hello new year! Welcome to Imagine If.. our first newsletter of 2017.  We have started the year with a hiss and a roar, and a sinus / chest infection. Aly and I (and the rest of the crew) flew to Australia, for a few days rest over new years and for my birthday (yes it was a large number, and no I am not telling what number it was, but I will give you a clue... it is 21...doubled + interest.... quite a bit of interest!) I was spoilt by my family, and my husband managed to surprise me, with a beautiful piece of Jewelry he had commissioned for me, so I was very very lucky. This year at IMAGINE IF we are committed to bringing you more classes, more fantastic products and lots and lots of new kits. CLASSES AT THE SHOP We have drawn a program up, of what we intend to release and when, which we will release as soon as final dates come in. Our usual weekly classes will be running as normal this week onwards. After a successful C4 craft day in November last year, we will be hosting another this year, I am just waiting on my brothers wedding date to be confirmed to add that to the schedule so you have plenty of notice this time. We will also be doing our usual children's school holiday program, along with lots of one off classes.   With a massive few weeks work on our behalf, we have managed to change the whole shop around, and we now have seating for 15 lovely crafters - which is an extra three per session and is super fantastic for you and us! MAKE SURE YOU COME CHECK OUT THE NEW STORE LAYOUT! SENZ & OTHER SHOWS We have expanded our stand at Senz for this year by 4 metres, plus designed 7 amazing classes which we are super excited about as we think they are bigger and better than our classes in the past and can't wait for you all to see them! We are signing up for quite a few other shows as well, as working with a few other craft shops to expand our ranges so keep your eyes out for upcoming announcements in this area!.      NEW PRODUCTS We have been steadily working on new ranges for you all - including stencils and chipboard over the holiday break! Here are just a few of the many new designs. Come in store to check them out and watch out for the upcoming newsletters where we will feature them each week.   NEW LASER MACHINE! We have purchased a second laser machine... as the first had a technical issue, which was going to put us out of action for a while! After much stress and debating we purchased the new machine to get us through and typically the first machine was fixed in only 5 days (after the new machine arrived)..But thats okay as we will be a lot quicker than previously being able to for cutting kits, orders, and stock! Though it has been a lot of fun learning a new system we are now well underway and pumping out work! CAKE TOPPERS AND CUSTOM CUTTING We have been extremely busy with our custom cutting, everything from Cake Toppers, Plaques, Horseshoe designs, Engagement/Wedding Gifts, and so much more! Aly even had 15 orders in 2 days for cake toppers! One of the exciting things we have done lately was a wedding cake topper which had a seahorse theme, (see the picture below of the finished cake!).  Another large project was a beach themed wedding with everything from cake toppers to signage, all created in blue acrylic.  It was a lot of work, but super cool results. Wednesday 10am - 12pm $20.00  Everything supplied, papers, sprays etc. You bring your basic kit, and glue and tape. 2 Pages minimum, sometimes three. If you have a look at the kits further down in the newsletter you will see what type of thing we do. We do everything from mixed media work, to multiple photos to well... whatever the brain feels like doing really.  We supply all the products and the papers, and it is a set price. You sign up for the term, so that I can allocate the products to the class, and keep the costs down.  If you cannot come you will get a kit, with the photo and very basic instructions. We have a couple of spaces left for the term, which start tomorrow or next week is fine.  Thursday Night 6pm - 8pm $20.00 Scrapbooking, this is a repeat of the Wednesday class, for those who cannot attend the day class, same details as per above.  We have two spaces left in this session. Can not come to class? But would like a weekly kit? We can do this option as well.  We supply everything except the mixed media products (unless possible) will be photocopying the layouts, and then you will get basic hand written cutting instructions for the papers.  Rather than posting weekly, we would save the kits up and post Monthly to you.  Kits are the same price, but will need to add postage on top of $8.50 tracked.  Only a few spaces available to do this option.  Card Class: Every 2nd Friday 10am - 12pm $12.00 For two or three cards usually.  This week we are doing wedding cards, with a lovely black, silver and gold colouring. Beginners welcome.     ONE OFF CLASS 9 pages in One day - Saturday 25th February 9 pages completed, 9am till 3pm $80.00, air conditioning included... We will using an assortment of products to complete these 9 pages, they are easy enough to do, and the day is full on. Bookings essential.  SCRAPBOOKING KITS: We made a few kits up from left over papers last year, and we have them for sale.  They are $20.00 each.  Kit 1:  We have one kit available Kit 2:  We have 3 kits available Kit 3:  We have 5 kits available Please note there is no mixed products in the kits at all, you will need to supply your own.  Please email me if you are interested as they are not on the website yet!    NEW STOCK & OFF THE PAGE KITS! Hi everyone, I hope you are all safe and well, as today has been a reminder of how easily things can change, with another large earthquake this morning and lots of after shocks it certainly has been busy with phone calls and facebook messages to friends and loved ones in the areas where the earthquake has struck the hardest. I hope that you are all safe and sound wherever you are. It has also been shocking recently to have lost another craft store here in NZ! It is a constant reminder to us how fragile our industry really is. We work extremely long hours to find new products and manufacture them and make/design kits, and we appreciate the constant support we get from all of you. There are a few groups on line selling products, and if you do see people asking for products or shops in NZ, we would appreciate it if you can suggest us. We are not allowed to self promote on these sites, but other people can recommend us, it is so hard to sit and watch people suggesting going overseas for products when they are right here in NZ.  I know sometimes that we are more expensive, and trust me we do everything we can to keep the costs down, but we do pay import duty on everything that comes in, and postage and GST, so that is usually why.  We also pay wages and support/sponsor events here in our local communities and NZ that other overseas companies do not. Remember if you are after something that is not on our website, please email us or ring us, as we may just not have it loaded, or we may know who in NZ does stock it. If you have suggestions for stock please do suggest it, we love feedback and always need to know what you are needing. We are not going anywhere! We are totally focused on keeping NZ made products available right here, and 2017 is going to see some new and amazing products coming out of the store. Right on a more positive note CHRISTMAS IS COMING!  So excited, I am busy organising our town promotion again, Spirit of Christmas, and looking forward to seeing how that works out this year. We have C4 fast approaching and we have SOLD OUT!!!!!!   So we are all very excited about that. Art Journal - Tracy

Hello, Tracy here. I haven't shared anything in a while with one thing happening after another in everyday life, things had to take a break. But I really enjoyed doing this art journal page and getting my fingers dirty.

Firstly I used patterned tissue paper, and picked out some colours from my Gelatos. Then it was a case of picking out stencils and stamps from the shop that I wanted to use. Face 3 - Samantha was stencilled on first. I then wanted to frame her face using Dylusion Stamp - Branching out. It didn't stamp to well on coloured paper so I used acrylic paint over these. I then used some coarse texture gel over Brick Pattern stencil and Texture Paste for the Pattern Circles. Below you can see a close up. Happy crafting - Tracy
