All ready to go tomorrow!

Hi to everyone,

I cannot believe how fast this month has gone, from a wreck of a building we are now ready to open Wednesday, and except for 4 holes in the ceiling of the hallway we are looking pretty good.

Facebook: if you have been following us on face book, you may have seen this post.

So those days when hubby brings you shopping, he can sit here, chill out, and I will replace the magazines with boys ones. he can even get a coffee or pop across the road to the council cafe have a beer, and watch the sports. So no need to panic now when hubby comes with you to the craft shop, we will distract him while you shop in peace.

This post caused me so much problems on facebook, it seems my husband now thinks that when ever I am in the craft shop he is allowed to go over to the cafe and have a beer!  because that is what my post said.  Hmmmmm must re word posts in future.

The signs went up on Monday , the classroom Is ready, see picture below

as you can see there is plenty of room for all the classes planned.

Opening
We open at 10am on Wednesday 27th August,  call in and check us out.

There is just one small glitch with opening, it will have to be cash only, as  our eft pos/credit card is still being sorted out, hopefully it will be in soon.

We are waiting on a lot of the new release papers, that don't get released until the 1st week of September,  but we do have the amazing Paper- Arts papers in stock, and a few others.
All our papers are $2.00, all our cardstock is $1.00.

We have a fabulous range of chipboard, and stencils are all cut and re stocked, including the very popular faces, owls, boys words and racing stencils.

The Mixed media products are in stock including mediums, gels, gessos, and vivas  and we have a great range of flowers and metal embellishments (no paint yet though).  There is a lot more due in over the next month, unfortunately products take a while to get here, and I want to start of with all new product where possible.  but I think you will find something to make you excited when you come in.

Closed Tuesday (except by appointment)  i need to manufacture and i cannot while the shop is open

Painted, Carpeted, and Tables are in!

Hi everyone,
Hi everyone, and what another beautiful morning here in the Waikato, not that I have been outside to see it this last week.  After finishing at the show, it was straight into painting and decorating our new space.

The Quilt and craft show was very very successful for us, and I am really pleased we went, though to be honest 5 days of the show is hard work, but there is a lot of fun, and a great chance to meet lots of new people.

The shop
The classroom is completed, and the manufacturing area is all set up, except for a tiny glitch one of my screens no longer works...bound to be something basic she says hopefully. There is a hint of purple around the place, and thanks to the boys yesterday everything is now at the shop ready to be put into place, the slatwalls are up, and the stands are in place.

Though I do have to tell you the funniest thing was after Aly had put these white paper stands together, which are a little flimsy while you get them together, we decided we needed to put some carpet under them, so rather than pull them apart and start again, we three generations of highly intelligent ladies decided to just lift them up and slip a piece of carpet under.  Well that seemed logical to us, how hard can it be.  Yes you got it!  This was not a simple task, in fact it was downright hard.  The shelves came apart, the carpet wouldn't slide, then it was to long and we had to try and cut it in place, and we just didn't think this through.  So imagine the view from behind, as three of us, all leaning over each other grunting and maybe a little cursing trying to get the carpet into place.  My dad would always say there is an easy way and a hard way to do things, that was the hard way.

I do need to say thank you to my husband Rick, daughter Aly, her boyfriend Jason, Mum, for helping us yesterday get sorted.  Also to some of my other friends for helping out.  So here is a little push for their businesses.
Russell -  Morrinsville Auto Trim - for all your upholstery requirements
Morrinsville Auto Trim & Upholsterers
Upholstery & Supplies

The next two businesses are right beside me on Canada street.
Phil - Revision Marketing - for all your corporate and sports t-shirts etc  http://www.revisionmarketing.co.nz/
Jo - Prepare  - for all your emergency kits  http://www.prepare.co.nz/

Right what you really want to know is when!

Wednesday 27th August 10am we open.

The shop hours will be sent to you next week, and also with a small advanced rough class list.

So at the Quilt and craft show I was working on a canvas in my Demo time, it was quite hard to do as I had to complete all the processes twice a day, and work only on a small piece of the canvas all the time.  Though I think it is pretty good, I will be adding a few more flowers when I find them, because they are in storage boxes at present.

I have used Stencils - circles and words,  Chipboard - branches, words, swirls.  I also used Gel Medium, Modelling paste, Gesso, Lindy Stamp Gang sprays and Dylusions Sprays, buttons, and flowers, and some metal butterflies and filigree shapes.   I will put this up in the shop when i finish it off.  This will be a class late September.

Big news!

What a month July was, talk about making big decisions, and when I say big...really big. First we had SENZ, and that was crazy, and then I signed the lease on a new building to rent for Imagine If...that is right, if you haven't been on Facebook and following us, you will not have caught up with the news.

New Premises

Our new premises are 25a Canada Street, Morrinsville. If you decide to go and have a peek, we are NOT there yet. Not until mid August, and we will send you an email to say we are open. We are opposite the Council cafe, right between Prepare & Revision Marketing and Triple Jump. Also if you go for a peek you might wonder how on earth are we going to fit in there! Don't worry we have a huge space out the back, that is just the main entrance. We will have class room space, and lots of lots of very cool products. I will send an email out soon with all of the details including days open and times, and also what we will be stocking. Just as soon as we have some idea of opening dates, we have not got into the premises to start painting, and sorting, but will be in next weekend.

Which speaking of next weekend is the Quilt and Craft Fair in Hamilton, and yes I know I shouldn't have, cause I am crazy busy trying to catch up from SENZ but I have signed up to have a stand at this show. We will have Paper-Arts paper, washi tape, mixed media, our quote sheets, MDF items, and our chipboard. So if you are coming to the show, come and check us out B17 (I think that was a bomber plane - hope that is a good sign) If you cannot make that is okay we will have it all at the new shop.
