Happy April and almost Happy Easter!!! Well a third of the way through the year already! Wow this is going fast and we have classes, kits, projects and planning coming out of our ears!  We have been cutting chipboard as fast as we can, as other stores are starting to stock our products, and we have been doing custom orders for other designers in NZ too!  Think it must be time for some chocolate... don't you think! I am pleased with the holiday programme, we have decided after so many complaints that we always manage to pick the week someone is going to be away, we will be repeating the classes on both weeks - this will ensure that if you are going away one week, you have a chance to do it the other week. That should make life a little easier, and get you less complaints for the littlest members of the household! We have a lot of stock arriving into the shop, today a huge box arrived and according to the bill that just arrived in my in inbox, another is due in from the USA!  Lots of new mixed media products and hopefully that includes my distress oxides finally being here after being missing! and turning up in a random warehouse in the USA!  Yes can definitely feel a need for chocolate after all that! Stocktake has finally finished after a week of counting every item instore! and we were so proud to be done on time, printed the final report..... and then we got an email from a customer, telling us he would love to buy one of our re-inkers but $3,300 was just a bit much for it, and wasn't in his budget hahaha.... unfortunately for us that meant a re-check of the whole report!!! Some one really needs to find that Easter Bunny early for me, and he had better have some yummy chocolate for me! Have a safe and fun Easter everyone! Jo SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME We have a fantastic school holiday programme this time around with 4 exciting classes being repeated each week so you have two chances to do each class if you can't make one of the weeks! WEEK ONE Tuesday 18th 10am - 12pm - Create your own Naughts and Crosses Board $25 - Paper and colour the background, then paint / decorate your little forest creatures then you can challenge your friends and family to a game or three! Wednesday 19th 10am-10.30pm (30 minute class) - Paint your own Creature or Word cut from MDF $10 - Choose from a Fairy, Butterfly, Deer, Fish, Dragonfly, DREAM, LOVE, FAMILY or LAUGH Wednesday 19th 1pm -3pm - Make your own miniature MDF Aquarium $25 - with colorful fishes, sea creatures, sand and seaweed! Thursday 20th 10am - 12pm - Create your own special Treasure Chest $20 - Put together and paint this chipboard treasure chest in your choice of colours then you can store all your precious items inside to keep them safe! Friday 21st  10am - 12pm - Create your own Magical Diorama $25 - Choose between the Pirate or Castle Themes and paint and decorate your characters in colours of your choice to create these magical scenes for your bedroom. WEEK TWO - Repeat of above classesWednesday 26th 10am - 12pm - Naughts and Crosses Wednesday 26th 1pm -3pm - Make your own Aquarium Thursday 27th 10am - 12pm - Treasure Chest Friday 28th 10am - 12pm - Pirate or Castle Diorama CAN'T MAKE ANY OF THESE DATES?  That's okay we are also selling these classes as kits (everything included except mixed media products e.g paint and embossing powder) for you to create with your child or grandchild at home! The Wellington Paper Arts and Crafts Show 2016 was one of our largest and most successful to date – and this year promises to be even better with a larger range of Exhibitors, Classes and more. Tickets through the Paper Arts website available soon http://paperarts.co.nz/tickets PALMERSTON NORTH PINKALICIOUS Saturday May 20th Christian Community Church Pinkalicious is a Scrapbooking and Rubber Stamping fundraiser for Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North. Come along to this great event with a number of Craft Exhibitors coming from around the country. It runs from 10.00 am till 4.00 pm and at this stage we have 8 shops confirmed as coming with another 3 still not confirmed. Cost to enter is $15.00 per person and all profits from the Door Sales, Auction and Raffle go to Arohanui Hospice. We have raised just over $5000 the last 2 years so it would be lovely to make it a better year for them.
