Scrapbooking page - Graphic 45 challenge

Graphic 45 Summer Layout Challenge
I decided to use the green page from the Wizard of Oz range. I decided that the Emerald city would make great grass, and then then with a bit of string, combine the hot air balloon to one of my daughters.  I wanted to use an unobvious piece of paper for this graphic 45 challenge, which was a summer layout.  It was time consuming to to cut all the edges of the page out, and insert other colours, I used the reverse of the page, on the leftand right  hand sides, and then black at the top and bottom.  I also had to cut the ballon out, and the clouds and move them.  I also wanted to use the No place like ......  I removed home, and put 1st place instead.

Scrapbooking - My Dad

This was the hardest layout I have ever done.  My dad died, 11th April 2012, and this is the first layout I have done of him since then.  He was such a cool guy, and so handy in the garden and made me all sorts of things to play with.  I used two websters paper (the same one), and then i carefully cut out the roses, and the bird house and the clocks.  I layered a twiddleybitz chicken wire piece over the bottom, and then layered the 2nd page cut out pieces over the top with foam dots.  I then painted and embossed some wooden twiddleybitz vine, and added roses (his favourite).  I layered his photo on brown and then black bazzil cardstock.  I picked up this handmade paper at Senz, which looked like wood, so i ripped that and put it underneath the photo.  I then put silver nail brads all around the wood like piece, but decided that I didn't like that, so I added white roses, and wound them around the brads.  I added a star at the bottom left of the picture, and then the hammer.  I inked up twiddleybitz squares and added them to the top right, and just left it simple with the chipboard word DAD.  A few gold brads to give the birdhouse a life.  I know he would just shake his head at the layout, but this is him.  My Dad.

Scrapbooking - Is Statue Bro

This is my baby brother, (heaps taller than me).  He was mucking around and decided to become a statue.  Hence the name, Hey Bro is statue.  I used kaisercraft sears and sons page.  I stenciled with paint using a crafters workshop template brick wall.  I then ripped the page, added a zip, and then a wooden penny farthing, that i embossed and inked.  I added some stickers from the same range, flags, and hat.  I folded one corner up and then added a few cogs.  i wanted something else a little different, so I decided on this one of a kind, sort of flower.  I used the clocks to make a flower shape, added string, and the one of a kind sticker over the top.   That is a Tim Holtz filmstrip underneath.

Kaisercraft - Craft caddy

This is my kaisercraft craft caddy.  I decorated it with Glitz paper, and some dusty attic chipboard products.  I added large metal label holders.  Also added some kaisercraft flowers and some leaves.  I found this little cameo, which I love.  I painted and papered the chipbard girl piece, and inked the edges.  The houses down below, I painted, stamped and embossed and sprayed with glimmer mist.  Then I added a little fence and some leaves, that are pretending to be trees.  I added pink ribbon on the front and all the edges I decided to try something different, and I used glimmer glam and glimmer glaze to paint.  The caddy rotates, so the same design is on both sides.
A few bits of bling. I used large brads are in the metal holders.  Now I have filled it, with my favourite glues, my tape.  The drawers contain all my brads, and buttons, and metal stuff that I like close at hand.

Scrapbooking - Click

My daughters both got new cameras for Christmas, I took the photo of them taking photos of me, which I usually avoid at all cost.  This is just using Crafters workshop template.  I then just added, layers of paper, flowers and an old photographer instructions that I found in a book.  Some flowers and, brad, and some rubons.

Flag Book

This is my flag book, I got a lovely email, that had some fantastic pictures.  So i decided to make a flag book from it.  I covered some card, and then added a strip of metal tape, that I embossed with a 10 seconds studio pattern, through the cuttlebug.  I hten added alcohol inks and buffed it up.  I added soem websters pages ribbon and then some kaisercraft flowers, black, purple and the new grape.  Then i added a little pink around the quote on the front.  Then i added a few pink flowers, to bring the colour through.  Then I added a kaisercraft brad and then used 7 gypsies elastic strip to close the book.  I added a delish metal embellishment, when I give this book away, i will put the persons name in here.  I added a prima chandelier for a wow factor.  All the corners were rounded with a zutter corner rounder.
This is the inside of the flag book.  I mounted each of the saying and pictures onto a range of pink, purpole and black bazzill cardstock.  I inked all the edges of the the flags.  I used the paper that was on the cover also onto the inside pages of the flag book.
I will personalise the book, once I decide who is going to get it.
